Our Beginning
When I was a little girl, I dreamed of having a stuffed animal of my own. I wanted something soft to hold, something that felt like a tiny friend who would stay with me no matter what, but my parents didn’t believe in toys. They thought only schoolwork mattered, so dolls, plushies, and anything “unnecessary” were never allowed in our home!
Even though I tried my hardest in school, learning was always a struggle, something I didn’t understand until much later, when I finally discovered that I had learning disabilities. Back then, I just felt like I was failing, alone and misunderstood, and that longing for comfort only grew stronger.
I still remember the day I saw a little stuffed dog at a drugstore, only two dollars. I begged my mom for it, my heart already wrapped around it… but the answer was a sharp, painful “No.” That moment stayed with me.
Now that I’m grown, I’ve given myself permission to create what I always needed: fluff, silly, comforting friends full of personality, comfort, and courage. That’s how Beast Buddies were born, my own collection of goofy, lovable creatures no one can take away from me.
They’re more than toys to me.
They’re comfort, creativity, and companions, for anyone that needs a hug, a laugh or a reminder that being yourself is more than enough. Finally mine to share with you. Everyone deserves a Beast Buddy!
